When it comes to flowers, Hydrangeas are some of my favorites. They are beautiful and elegant. I loved hydrangeas so much that I incorporated them into my wedding! Altenew has been dominating the stamp world when it comes to layered stamps. They have created so many designs that when paired together create lovely layered looks with little effort. One of their newest designs is a hydrangea--be still my heart! This stamp set comes with multiple stamps to create the flower as well as the leaves. It also comes with sentiment stamps that can be used for different occasions. I know when you see how easy it is to create a gorgeous layered card you too will fall in love with Altenew's stamp sets!
How to Make A Layered Hydrangea Card
Step 1: Add the lightest blue ink in the set to the filled in flower and stamp it on your paper.
Step 2: Stamp the next lightest blue on the flower stamp design with dark petal detail and add on top of the solid flower stamp.
Step 3: Stamp the third darkest blue on the stamp with the lighter petal detail next and stamp on top of your prior layer.
Step 4: Add black ink to the flower petal outline stamp and stamp on top of all your layers.
Step 5: Run your stamped image through a die cutting machine with the coordinating die.
Step 6: Ink the solid leaf stamp with a light green ink and stamp it on the right and bottom of your card panel.
Step 7: Ink the detailed stamp with a darker green and stamp on top of the other leaf images.
Step 8: Ink the leaf outline stamp with black ink and stamp on top of the leaf images.
Step 9: Stamp the "thanks" sentiment.
Step 10: Add foam squares behind the hydrangea die cut and add it on top of the leaves.
Step 11: Flip the card panel over and trim off the excess paper from the hydrangea.
Step 12: Add adhesive to the back of the panel and add it to the card base.
