First you need to cut your paper plate down to look like an apple core. I did this by cutting two small football/diamond shapes out on the left & right side of the paper plate. Discard the cutouts {or save them for a rainy day craft!}

Next is the painting fun! Using the paint dabbers - have children paint the paper plate rim of their apple core cutout. Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.

To finish off the Paper Plate Apple Core - Kid Craft, grab your scissors, cardstock and stapler. Cut out a leaf out of the green cardstock and an apple stem out of the brown. Staple those finished pieces to the paper plate. Now take your black Sharpie marker and draw three small apple seeds in the center of the paper plate. Now you are ready to show off your creation. Display proudly and admire your work!
