Faber Castell Bible Journal Kit
If you are looking for a new and exciting way to engage with scripture, you need to get on board with Bible journaling! Bible journaling combines reflection with creativity. With this new-ish form of art people are actually grabbing pens, pencils, paint, stencils, and other mediums to add color to the inside of their Bibles turning them into inspirational works of art!
This Bible Journal Kit includes tools and inspiration to assist you as you doodle, draw and journal in the margins of your Bible. You don't have to worry about the pens bleeding thru the pages in your Bible; the PITT Artist Pens are waterproof and won't bleed. The kit also comes with Gelatos. These creamy colors are acid-free pigment sticks that let you lay down color without getting your pages wet. These also won't bleed through the pages and when dry, they are permanent. If you want to remember an important verse, the Gelatos Highlighters Colors will let you highlight them with permanent, translucent color that won't bleed through. In addition to these wonderful writing instruments, the kit also includes 16 Die Cuts, 2 Sheets Mache Paper, a 46 Page Illustrated Design Guide, 16 Stickers, 2 Mixed Media Stencils, and 4 Bible Journaling Stencils.
Creating a Layout in Your Bible
I used the design guide and all of the elements in the kit to create the layout in my Bible. I loved following along with the instructions to transform my page into a beautiful piece of art!
Step 1: Add the "Be Still" stencil to the top page of your Bible and use the gold marker to color it in.
Step 2: Use the black marker to trace around your favorite quote.
Step 3: Add small flowers around the page with the pink highlighter.
Step 4: Add black flowers.
Step 5: Cut apart the floral portion of the stencil and add gesso to the back.
Step 6: Once the gesso is dry, add gelatos in different colors. Use your finger to blend the colors together.
Step 7: Add gel medium to the back of the stencil and adhere it to your Bible page.
Step 8: Use the black pen to line the top of the stencil.
Step 9: Finally, add floral stickers.
