Typically when you come across a mixed media project, you will see some sort of dimension and texture incorporated. Getting this look is really simple. Faber Castell has a product called Whipped Spackle that is a heavy textured gesso with the consistency of icing. You can use Whipped Spackle to create dimensional texture applications without the added weight of heavy gesso, which is super cool. It's so light and airy! You can also create custom colors by mixing the spackle with Faber Castell Gelatos and other colorants. I love the way the spackle looks when it's pushed through a stencil! Once the Whipped Spackle has dried, you will be left with a thick texture that is matte, and is opaque with a medium weight.
