Watercolor Art Canvas With Prima Bloom Girl

Shop this Project

Hi Blitsy Fans! Carisa with you again today and I had this idea in my mind to create a canvas using Prima Color Bloom Spray Mists entirely. I wouldn't try to control too much with color and shading on my stamp but let it be very loose and freeform in nature - to remind me to let go because I have a thing about controlling not just my art but other areas in life as well. This canvas will serve as a reminder to let go of that and embrace things as they may come. That's the idea anyway! haha Art to me is my therapy and I tend to work through things in my life when I sit down at my craft desk. Inspiration comes from my life, the daily ups and downs as they may go!

Today, I am working on an Ampersand Aquabord, which is an amazing product. It is a flat 8x8 clayboard panel with a slight texture to it. This was my first time using it but it really accepted the Color Bloom sprays beautifully. I absolutely love this Prima Bloom Girl stamp by Jamie Dougherty Designs called Mother. She is one of my favorites not just because I am a mother but I love her calm expression (wish I was a bit calmer in motherhood, haha!) and her long hair and the beautiful crown of flowers. She is just overall beautiful. So, if you have been hoarding your pretty Prima Color Bloom sprays or any color sprays like I have, go ahead and pull them out and let me show you how I created this canvas using just some color sprays!
