Hello everyone! Laurel here today with a card and video using the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos!!! Did you know that you can "ink" up your stamp using the Gelatos? YOU CAN! It's so easy and fun to do... Gelatos are acid free and react to moisture so you can blend them with your finger, a damp wet wipe or a wet paint brush. They are permanent once dry. You can also spray a fixative to protect your project as well if you don't have the time to allow the gelatos to dry. For me and my experience, it takes a day, maybe even two days for the gelatos to dry COMPLETELY. They dry to the touch after a few hours. In the event I don't have that kind of time to wait, I spray a matte fixative spray right over the top of the completed project! You can also apply some Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft GEL MEDIUM over the top of your project and that will "set" your gelatos as well! There are a few different options you have to work off. For the most part, I prefer to wait it out until they are dry.
I call Gelatos creamy little chapsticks and the best part, they are calorie free, hahaha! They are creamy pigmented colors in a chapstick-like stick. They come in a variety of colors and finishes!! In today's card, I used several different colors along with a metallic finish (purple) so you can see the difference.
What you will need to create this card is: Cardstock, Gelatos, Water Spritzer and a stamp! I also added some flicks of Texture Spray in gold (optional).
I always work off of the Ranger Non-Stick Craft Sheet for my work surface! It provides easy clean up and since I hate cleaning, I've got three of these babies in my craft room, lol!
I used watercolored cardstock in the video, but for this technique since we are using minimal water, you can use any kind of cardstock. Today's card is a card that you can easily mass produce to create card sets or cards for any occasion. In my case, I left the sentiment off the card so when I need a card for a specific event, I can stamp the sentiment on the inside. I wanted to leave the front of this card sentiment free to the gelato colored image was the star... I hope you enjoy the video and thanks so much for joining me today!
