Taking a lesson from Dina Wakley's Art Journal Courage book and putting fear aside to draw simple shapes in my art journal using paints and stencils.

Hi Blitsy Fans! I love learning new techniques and one of my favorite ways is to pick up books written by my favorite mixed media artist, like the ones by Dina Wakley. She has two books out: Art Journal FREEDOM and Art Journal COURAGE. Both are excellent if you are new or even seasoned mixed media artists. They give you step by step techniques to use in your own art journals and you don't have to have any experience at all to jump in and get started creating your own beautiful pages.

One thing I have been wanting to try is drawing on my own art journal pages. I really have connected with Dina Wakley and her books because she said she used to say she used stamps because she couldn't draw. I don't know how many times I've said that myself to friends and family, how I wished I could actually draw! Her techniques and books have inspired me to throw out that negative attitude to try out my own simple drawings in my art journals and I want to share that with you today. Let's get started!
