Hometown by Ken Oliver

Posted by Katy Weade

We recently had a special guest visit us in our craft room. Ken Oliver has a handful of new products coming out and we wanted to see them first-hand. You've probably heard us raving about his revolutionary adhesive, Stick-It, that works magically with intricate Die Cuts. Well now we have another line to drool over - Hometown! Watch below as Ken tells us where the inspiration for this collection came from.

Top 5 Reasons We Love Hometown

The images on these papers were inspired by Ken's actual Hometown which he recently moved back to. Newburgh, Indiana has so much history that anybody with an affinity for history, vintage, and antique-y things will gravitate to this collection.

Because of this canvas done by Heidi of Embellished Dreams. A little bit of mixed media goes a LONG way with these papers!

Speaking of mixed media, these papers are a heavier weight with a smooth finish, which makes them a dream for mixed media techniques. These craft papers will hold inks, paints, gessos, and other mediums beautifully.

Because the Ephemera Pack would also make some gorgeous jewelry pieces!

Ken recently showed off some of the Ice Resin bezels he made and I can't stop imagining some pieces like this, but with images from Hometown!

Did we mention the patterns on the reverse sides of these papers? These patterns were also inspired from around Ken's town. They pair perfectly with the front side of the papers to pull your cards and layouts together. (Check out the reverse side of the Livery Stable paper - it's a personal fav!)
