Hi Blitsy Fans!
Carisa here with you today and I don't know about you but I am in the holiday crafting spirit 100%!!! I'm listening to Christmas music, making handmade holiday cards and I love creating new mixed media pieces to hang for the holiday season as well. Today I am going to create one of those pieces showing you how to use your favorite pattern paper collections as your starting point as well as inspiration for a color palette. A lot of times without such a reference, I can get carried away mixing every single color of paint I own which can become a little overwhelming not to mention a hot mess. By using a paper collection from one of your favorite paper companies, I used Bo Bunny's 6x6 Altitude collection, all of the guesswork of cohesive colors has already been done for you. Also, it's a great way to use up bits and pieces left over as well as maybe some of the papers you don't like AS much because they didn't end up on your scrapbook pages or cards since you'll be creating many layers on top - the patterns don't matter as much as the colors. Pick out paints that match and you are all set to go creating beautiful mixed media wall decor for any holiday. Let me show you how!
