TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
My name is Laurel and I am from sunny Florida. I am a wife and mother of two! I am short and love to laugh. I am afraid of heights but married to a pilot! I have a fear of dentist, big time! I am not ashamed to say I am HUGE fan of the Harry Potter series, POTTER HEADS UNITE! :) I like breakfast for dinner and don't like to cook. I CAN cook, I just don't like to much to my husband's dismay! Did I mention I'm short?

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING FROM YOU HERE AT BLITSY?
I would define myself definitely as a clean and simple designer! I don't like to use a lot of embellishments on my projects. So you can expect to see a lot of clean and simple designs incorporated with lots of techniques. I am a huge fan of: distress inks, gelatos, color bursts, embossing pastes, watercoloring just to name a few. I always try to incorporate at least one fun technique into my projects! I am primarily a card maker so that is what you will mostly see from me here at Blitsy! BUT, every now again I get a little daring and step outside of my comfort zone and make something else! Crafting is my zen and I love to share it with the world. I will be making lots of videos for you all sharing all these fun things!

Papercrafing and General Crafts

Jennifer Synder

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
I live in NY with my husband and kids who thankfully are supportive of my crafting heart. I work outside the home full time analyzing natural gas and electricity supply; yeah, love my job but not creatively stimulating. When I get home from work, that's my time to admire paper and flowers and all things crafty. It's been a joy to have the opportunity to meet a world of wonderful people through paper crafting.

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING FROM YOU HERE AT BLITSY?
I enjoy making cards, tags and home decor items that tend to be more embellished and dimensional. Perhaps you could call it more of a shabby chic style.

WHERE ELSE CAN WE FIND YOU BEING CRAFTY?
You can find me at the Flying Unicorns, Maja Design and 2Crafty Chipboard and wrapping up two years on the Prima Marketing Design Team.

Carisa Zglobicki
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
Hi everyone! I am blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart (going on 15 years!) and mama to our 4 awesome kiddos. You'll find me stealing tiny moments to myself in the craft room whenever I can, usually into the wee hours of the night! My first step into the paper crafting community came just after the birth of my first born when a friend invited me to a home stamping party. I thought it was so cool but being a new mom, didn't really get that into it aside from making the most cheesy Christmas cards ever!! About 4 years later, I was introduced to Copic Markers and found a whole wide world of line art images that I immediately fell in love with coloring. I love seeing a black and white stamped image come to life as I color. Some of my best friends have come into my life because of this hobby from all walks of life that I probably never would have met otherwise! In 2014, I ventured into water color and I love the freedom it has given me to let go of perfection to find and embrace my own style! I also enjoy mixed media and art journaling which pushes me outside the box to try new techniques. I love exploring my emerging artist with different mediums, texture and stencils. Outside the craft room, I love reading to my kids and watching movies with my family. My all time favorite TV show is FRIENDS but out of current shows, I'd have to say Nashville more so for the music probably than anything else because I love to create with my playlist blasting from my computer!

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING FROM YOU HERE AT BLITSY?
While I will always love coloring and making cards, I have become increasingly inspired by mixed media because it pushes me outside my comfort zone. I get excited when I look at a mixed media piece I've created because of the process to get from a blank page/canvas to something filled with color, art and texture. I am more proud of myself as an artist when I look at an art journal page or canvas that I created from scratch. My favorite magazine publication is Stampington's Somerset Studio - oh man, I dream of creating such beautiful art like I find in the pages of that publication! That said, I almost always create with stamps in any mixed media page and I sometimes combine Copic coloring within my mixed media art. I am excited to share this continued exploration of myself creatively and artistically into the world of mixed media with the awesome Blitsy community. I will be creating videos that show my process in each project with the ups and downs and learning curves that come along with each step into mixed media. Some of my favorite comments are the ones where people are inspired to open themselves to exploring mixed media because I'm open about what I've done and learned in the process. I hope that you will come along with me in this journey as I excitedly join the Blitsy Creative Team!

DIY/Home Accents
Morena Hockley
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
Ciao! My name is Morena, and I'm a retro-loving, budget minded crafter. I'd rather have paint on my fingernails than some fancy manicure! My passion is using thrifted and inexpensive items to create designer inspired creations. I love the use of bright colors, and I like to create quirky, unexpected projects. I enjoy crafting with my 4 kids, and I am so grateful that I get to craft full time. I have the best job in the world!

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING FROM YOU HERE AT BLITSY?\
I really enjoy creating home decor projects. I've dubbed my style "retro bold": mixing vintage sensibilities with bright colors or metallics. Two of my favorite pieces I created for Blitsy are my chalk painted retro alarm clock and my metal flower memo holders.

Katie King

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
Hi everyone! My name is Katie and I'm a DIY blogger, lover of old movies and cherry coke! By day, I'm a college student studying business, and, by night I'm a DIY blogger. When I'm not studying for exams I'm usually writing on my blog or working on a craft project. I started my blog Running with a Glue Gun to share my DIY projects and to meet other people who loved to craft. When it comes to crafting I've always believed that projects should be three things: simple, fun and unique!

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING FROM YOU HERE AT BLITSY?
The types of projects you will see from me here on Blitsy will be projects which deal with home decor. Home decor projects have always been my favorite to make because there such an easy way to add a personal, handmade touch to your space. More specifically, you will see storage projects, DIY trays and (several) wall hangings (since I love them so much)!

Jewelry
Adrianne Surian

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
Hi! I'm Adrianne, and I've been crafting since before it was cool. I've been making accessories all the way back to my days on the playground, making friendship bracelets, paper beads, and turning sometimes-unusual items into earrings and pendants. I fell out of the creative habit for a few years until my early twenties, when my grandmother taught me how to sew and quilt. That rekindled my passion for all my creative endeavors, and I jumped into home decor, scrapbooking, and came back to my first love, jewelry-making.
Somehow, I've turned crafting and art into a legitimate career - who would have known you could do such a thing? (It's certainly not something they mentioned on career day!) Last year I was able to quit my day job and begin designing and writing full-time. I've been part of a few art exhibits over the past year (my friends in Michigan can find me at ArtPrize in the fall), and my first craft book, "DIY T-Shirt Crafts" hits the shelves on August 1.
When I'm not covered in glue or sitting at the keyboard, I'm spending time with my kids (2 and 4 - you know, the running and squealing age) and with my husband at our home in west Michigan.

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING FROM YOU HERE AT BLITSY?
I'll be sharing jewelry and accessory projects with you! My style ranges from classic to boho to the new trends, and you'll be sure to see some mixed media pieces from me. I'm an avid metal stamper, so be on the lookout for a few posts on that topic, if it's something you've been curious about.
