This To That: Dear Lizzy Ribbon Card

Posted by Meghan Quinones

Why do I love flowers so much? Seriously? It's funny how my eyes are always drawn to them, whether it's paper, fabric, artwork, or ribbon!

I am a huge fan of ribbon/fabric rosettes. They are just so pretty and perfect for incorporating into projects. These rosettes are not difficult to make, but who has the time to sit down and roll these charming little bundles of fabric? American Crafts has come to save the day. They went ahead and made rose ribbon just for you. That's right, the work has already been done for you!

The American Crafts Rose Ribbons come in multiple colors. The rose itself measures in at 1 1/2". This rose may be on the smaller side, but it's spiral layers create a huge impact. The spirals are formed from continuous lengths of sheer fabric ribbon on a net base. The sheer fabric gives these tiny roses a romantic and vintage look. You could also cut the roses apart and use them individually.

There are really so many projects where you could incorporate your Dear Lizzy Rose Ribbon. You could add them to a barrette, use them on a pillow, or incorporate them into a card like Allred Design has done. The addition of the mini roses to her card adds just the right amount of color and texture. To add a little extra pizzaz, she also added butterflies and white pearl studs. This card is just darling!
