Hello, friends! With spring weather right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share with you a fun way to celebrate the season with friends. I always need an excuse for a party, and warmer weather sounds like something worth celebrating! This is a great assortment of projects for any meal, but there's something about a late morning Sunday brunch with friends that always sounds delightful.
To get started, you will need
- We R Memory Keepers Wildflower Layered Tags
- We R Memory Keepers Wildflower 12"x12" paper
- We R Memory Keepers Wildflower Ephemera
- We R Memory Keepers Wildflower Stickers
- Kraft Bags
- American Crafts Gold Doilies
- Yellow Twine or String
These projects are super easy to make! To get started, first make your silverware sacks by trimming patterned paper to 2"x4.75". You will need three different patterned pieces for each treat sack. Adhere the patterned paper to each sack starting from the bottom.
Next, tie string or twine on to your bag. I love this yellow twine, but use whatever you have at home!
Embellish your treat sack with the We R Memory Keepers Wildflower ephemera and layered tags. They are all different, so pick your favorites!
Last step... insert your silverware! I love the look of this wood silverware, but traditional silverware will fit great too!
For the plates on the table, I just clipped together a tag, ephemera, and gold doily. I love how the ephemera pack has so many lovely pieces, I was able to use something different on each plate.
I used gold straws for the glasses, and adhered an embellishment from the ephemera pack on those too.
At the top of each plate, I made a little favor box for each guest. I filled them with locally made chocolate, and embellished the top with the Wildflower stickers. Since the stickers are all different, I used different paper for each favor box too. I love how they turned out!
For the centerpiece, I just used some paper flowers I had leftover from a previous party, and made a little sign with embroidery floss, a paper straw, and one of the Wildflower stickers. It reads, "Not all who wander are lost."
Since we were having brunch, I purchased scones and donuts for the table. I made several breakfast items too, but it's totally okay to cheat and buy food for your guests! I always enjoy the decorating more than the cooking. ;)
To embellish the donuts, I just used another straw and embellishments from the ephemera pack.
Here's my favorite tip for throwing a party that revolves around a meal: Lots of cake plates! Use small and medium sized cake plates to elevate food and decor.
This entire party took me just a few hours to throw together. And it only took a few sheets of paper too! I just love having friends over, so hopefully this will give you an excuse for a girlfriends brunch too!
