Simple DIY Popsicle Stick Flowers

Posted by Andreja Vucajnk
Get ready to make a ton of simple craft stick flowers with your kids, as once they get started they will want to make more and more.

These are incredibly easy to make and are a fun project all year round (super perfect for a rainy spring day though). These lovely flowers also make a great gift for friends and family, write a note from the heart on the back of the leaves and you've got a nice and unique greeting card too.

  • craft sticks
  • cardstock in green and floral colors
  • scallop punch
  • green paint
  • brush
  • yellow buttons
  • glue
  • scissors
  • green marker

With the scallop punch, punch the flowers out of cardstock paper. The more the merrier.

Color the craft sticks green and let them dry completely. Cut the leaf shapes out of green cardstock paper and draw leaf veins with the green marker. You can make one, two or even more leaves per flower.

While the colored craft sticks dry, make the flowers. Take the punched scallop circles and glue a yellow button in the middle. If you have a variety of buttons in different sizes you can even stick a small button on top of a larger one to give the flowers even more dimension. Let the glue dry.

Glue the leaf on the back of the green colored craft stick and the flower on the front part. Let the glue dry and you are done!

Aren't they just the sweetest? Make as many as you need to make someone's day.

Tip: There's even a short cut for this little project as you can get craft stick pre-colored.
