Hi Blitsy Fans! Today I want to show you how to create beautiful simple faith based tags using the Creating in Faith Collection by Prima Marketing. Since this collection has come out I have not stopped using it to create mixed media and art journal pages as well as these simple tags that I like to use as bookmarks in my bible and other books I'm reading. You could also create them to use as inspirational gift tags on presents. I'm using the Ranger Craft Tags but you can easily use any card stock by pulling out your gift tag dies or punches. In fact, I'd love to create similar tags using watercolor paper and paints. For my tag today, I used Distress Inks and a blending tool to blend the colors on my tag. I made these during our Black Friday Pajama Party but I wanted to make a video to show you how easy they are as well as I wanted to try putting gesso on my tag before doing the ink blending to get a more true color on my tags. In the video below, I'll show you how!

Here are the other two tags I created without first putting gesso on my tag. You can see how much more muted the colors are and even a bit altered with the yellow tint of the tag because on the first tag, I used Salty Ocean which is a much more blue color but over the tag it turns into a more teal - still so pretty! I definitely like them both ways and hope you will give this technique a try. One thing I like to do with the Phrases stamp set is look for Bible Verses with that theme and using the Bible Book stamp set place that verse on the tag so I can reference that at any time. I think this also personalizes it in a way when you make these for loved ones.
Thank you so much for joining me again today! I hope I have inspired you to make some tags using this incredible faith based collection. Until next time, Happy Crafting!
