Share Summer Fun With a Beach Babe Scrapbook Layout
Let's hit the beach with this fun summer scrapbook layout featuring some simple, yet impactful elements.
Summer is almost over! I'm in denial, but after seeing school supplies at our Target, I'm trying to hold on to the last few weeks. Scrapbooking Summer memories is really fun, so I've pulled out my stack of photos to share a fun Beach Babe layout with you today. Let's get started!
What you'll need:
Cardstock- American Crafts 12x12 Summer Pack
Crate Paper Patterned paper
Tombow Foam Tabs
Tombow Aqua liquid glue
Tombow Stamp Runner adhesive
Fiskars paper trimmer
Fiskars Amplify scissors
Start by choosing your patterned papers and trimming them down to sizes you want. I layered a darker more bold choice with lighter patterns on top. See those layers below.
Gather your embellishments. Along with some pre-made embellishments, I cut some solid cardstock to 1/4".
Next, trim photos down to fit your photo matte. The cardstock is a bright bold color to make the photos really pop off the page.
Layer the photo piece onto the cardstock. Right now it doesn't look like much, but the embellishments will make all the difference.
Next, place the 1/4" strips over the seams where your patterned paper overlap as well as where the photos meet up. This makes the layout look finished. See the detailed images below.
Lastly, we will add embellishments, a journal spot and some machine stitching to finish up the page. The machine stitching is optional. A good alternative to real stitching is some faux stitching with a white pen. Use Foam tabs to raise some of the embellishments to create dimension and use the Aqua liquid glue for the wood veneer piece.
Get those Summer memories onto some pretty paper and live those memories all Fall and Winter long! Thanks for stopping by to see my page. I can't wait to share more with you Blitsy lovers. Happy crafting!
