Sculpey Medium Flexible Heart Details
With Valentine's day fast approaching, we're getting a bit loved up. It's a great time to show anyone special how much they mean to you in the most cheesy and pink way you can! I'm making these Sculpey Transfer Medium hearts to make garlands, jewelry, greeting cards, and cake toppers. They're so versatile, you can even use your sewing machine on them!! So let's stop chatting about them and start making all the hearts we can.
Print out your hearts on a home printer - Make sure you have plenty of ink! Cut around them leaving a border so that you have some room to pick the paper up once you've covered the heart with the Sculpey Medium. I like to make my hearts in lots of tonal colors to get a good range.
Squeeze a thin layer of the medium straight onto the heart and spread over the whole shape using the nozzle to push it out to the edges. Ensure it is completely covered and pop any air bubbles that may have formed.
Set your oven on a low heat and lay the hearts onto an baking tray covered with a sheet of baking paper or foil to stop any spillages. Heat the hearts for about 15 - 20 minutes until the medium has set. Take out and leave to cool.
Once cool, moisten the paper and start to rub it away using your fingers.
Once you've rubbed the excess paper away you can start planning what to do with your hearts! I'll be back soon with a couple of ideas for you, so keep checking Blitsy for updates on those.
