Scrapbook Layout: Capture A December Day

Posted by Latrice Murphy
Create a scrapbook layout with a simple design using just a few fun embellishments.

I love my December days with my kids. We plan a whole bunch of Wintery outings over break and enjoy every moment! My littlest is hard to catch smiling, so these two photos on today's layout will be cherished. I wanted to really draw the attention to them, so I designed this fun page around them.

He're what you'll need

October Afternoon Under the tree Collection kit

Tombow Foam Tabs

Tombow MONO permanent adhesive

Fiskars paper trimmer

Fiskars Amplify scissors

Love My Tapes Washi tape

Sewing machine

Kraft Cardstock

Wood Veneer stars

Choose your photos and print them at 3.5" x 5" each.

Next, choose a few patterned papers that will get trimmed down and used around the layout.

Both photos are placed onto a piece of white cardstock together. They are so similar that this works perfectly. On either side of the layout, place 1-1/2" strips of patterned paper. Layer a 1/2" piece over the seam.

Next, add a piece of kraft cardstock under the edge of the photo. This is for a little bit of writing.

Embellsihments were kept simple. I used some wood veneer stars as well as some stickers. The stickers were layered with foam squares to raise them up.

Finish the layout at with a large sticker title, mixed with smaller stickers. I also layered some washi tape with some stitching.

I loved making this layout with the small touches of winter and bringing the attention towards the center where the photos are. I've said it before, scrapbooking should always be fun. I never stress over creating. It's an art and should be done freely. Use what you want as long as it's meaningful to you and fun!

Thanks Blitsy fans for stopping by today! Can't wait to share more. Happy Crafting!
