Quick Tip: Customize Your Staples With a Sharpie
Don't use boring silver staples for your paper projects when you can easily change up the color with a Sharpie!
I have to admit something...
I have never incorporated staples into my paper crafting. I know, I know, the stapler can be a friendly addition to paper projects, especially if you want to quickly affix something without using glue. I know a lot of people use staples when creating cards and layouts to add some visual interest and character to their projects. Unfortunately, I only have the plain silver staples which are not all that exciting to use. They look more 'office-like' than crafty.
I wanted to embrace my lonely little stapler and start incorporating it into some projects. Before I fully dove into the world of stapler crafting, I wanted to figure out a way to customize my staples with color so they would have a little more pizzaz. Well, I figured it out! Man, was it easy!
In case you didn't know, pairing a Sharpie Paint Pen with staples is a match made in heaven. I am not kidding! It is so easy to take your staples to the next level just by adding some color. Just think of all the crafty possibilities with the ability to customize the color of your staples to match your project or event. You can paint staples pink and use them to secure a baby shower goodie bag. You could also paint some staples black and incorporate them into your Halloween decorations (sorry, I went there!). Check out the video below to see just how easy it is to match your staples to the project you are working on.
Have you ever colored your staples before? How did you customize yours?
