Pony Bead Embellishments

Posted by Meghan Quinones

Pony beads are no longer just for kids or jewelry making! Did you know you can use pony beads to make embellishments for cards, layouts, and tags?! It is super easy and oh so cute! All you need to do is melt the beads in the oven. After the beads bake and cool they are smooth and shiny. They look just like candy! You can also turn your melted pony beads into stud earrings, barrettes, and so much more! Just think of all of the possibilities! Head on over to Blitsy to check out our Pony Bead selection and be inspired!

What will you make with your Pony Beads?

Here's what you'll need:

Let's get crafty!

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Open a window and turn on a fan (the beads get pretty stinky when you are baking them!).

Step 2: Place a piece of parchment paper on your cookie sheet. Arrange your beads on your cookie sheet with the hole of the beads facing up. I made a couple of flowers, a grape, and left a few beads by themselves. You can create whatever you want!

Step 3: Bake your beads for 10-15 minutes. Keep and eye on them. Once they are completely melted, remove them from your oven and let them cool. They will pop right off. That's it!
