Using the We R Memory Keepers Rosette Punch

If you are in need of some quick decor for your 4th of July get together, you'll love how easy this punch turns strips of paper into festive rosettes! The We R Memory Keepers Rosette Punch makes it easy to create a decorative edge on paper rosettes. I love this pack of paper and stickers from Simple Stories. It has the perfect combination of red, white and blue patterns that are sure to enhance any Independence Day party decor. To achieve the look ,simply cut your paper to desired size, I cut mine to 3" x 12" and 4" x 12", and score at evenly spaced increments using the We R Memory Keepers Trim & Score Board. I made 1" score lines along the 4" strips and 1/2" score lines along the 3" strips. then before accordion folding the paper, line up the score lines to the notch on the rosette punch and press down to punch the decorative edge. For the larger rosettes I punched at every other score line and for the smaller rosettes I punch on every fourth score line. It's fun to experiment with the intervals at which you punch as it creates simple or more complicated edges. To assemble your rosettes, use a strong adhesive to adhere strips together and then apply more to center of rosettes to keep them together. You can see this in action in this video. To embellish the centers I used a scallop circle punch and the stickers included in the Simple Stories All American Kit as they have the perfect matching imagery and sentiments!

Using just a couple of We R Memory Keepers tools and the Simple Stories All American Collection Pack I was able to create a variety of rosettes to use as table top decor and wall decor. Create smaller rosettes to use on drinking straws, place cards, treat bags or anywhere a little embellishment is needed!

Happy Crafting!
