This vibrant DIY statement necklace was created using Cousin Neon Pop Jewelry elements! You can make your very own neon statement necklace in less than 30 minutes!
Do you love neon? Um, I know I do! Neon has definitely become a rising star in the fashion world. Leave it to Cousin to create a new jewelry line that embraces this colorful trend!
All of the Neon Pop elements can be mixed and matched to create one-of-a-kind jewelry. Not only are the colors of these jewelry pieces on trend, but they also encompass the elegant rhinestone trend seen throughout today's jewelry designs. The pairing of neon and rhinestone accents is truly a match made in heaven.
For my design, I selected the neon yellow pendant and neon yellow accents pieces paired with the hot pink tassels. To create the base for my necklace, I actually used two bracelets! Yep, I took apart one of my bracelets to create two chains. I used these chains to add length to my other bracelet to create a necklace! I can not wait to show off my new necklace!
Here's what you'll need:
- Cousin Neon Pop Metal Chain with Rhinestones
- Cousin Neon Pop Tassels Pink
- Cousin Neon Pop Gold and Rainbow Bracelet
- Cousin Neon Pop Rhinestone Accent Pendant
- Cousin Neon Pop Neon Yellow Drops
- 10 Jump Rings
- Jewelry Tools
Let's get crafty!
Grab your bracelet that has silk cord wrapped around it. Use your scissors to remove the cord.
After your cord has been removed, use your needle nose pliers to remove the center jump rings that are connect the two chains together. We are going to use this chain to add length to our other bracelet so it will be long enough to make a necklace.
Remover the jump rings on the ends.
Remove the clasp off both ends of your other bracelet. Open a jump ring, slide it through the end chain link of one of our long chains, and connect it to the end of your other bracelet.
Repeat Step 4 on the other side of your bracelet. You will be left with a necklace!
Now it's time to decorate your necklace. Open two jump rings and slide them through the top of your pendant. Attach both jump rings to the center of your necklace. You will be adding it to the rhinestone section of your necklace.
Add a jump ring to the end of one tassel and connect it to your necklace.
Add your teardrop accents next to your tassels. You will want 2 tassles and 2 teardrop accents on each side of your necklace.
Add the clasp you removed from your bracelet to the ends of your newly constructed necklace. Now, put on your new necklace and make a statement!
