Make Gilded Gift Boxes
Like so many of you, I'm trying to organize my craft supplies. Less time hunting for supplies means more time to create!
When I saw these adorable boxes at Blitsy, I knew I wanted to use them to organize my paper ephemera and itty bitty papercrafting items like brads and eyelets. I transformed them into elegant silver boxes with tiny frame labels. Here's how you can make your own.
Paint the box with gesso. Once it's dry, paint the boxes and lids with Liquid Gilding.
Press clay into a silicon mold. I used Mod Melts molds. Gently remove the clay from the mold and bake as directed on the package.
Paint the baked clay pieces with craft paint and seal.
Cut a piece of cardstock to fit the frame, and add a text sticker to it. Use E-6000 to attach the paper and frame to the box.
I labeled the boxes for these photos with tags that are more suitable for gift giving. The ones I will use to organize my craft supplies will have more boring names like "eyelets". These dainty boxes will look great on my craft desk, but they are versatile! They would make sweet gift boxes or cute treat holders for party guests. You can change the color and frame style to meet your needs. Have fun crafting and creating!
