Everywhere you look today food images are on cards, clothing and even purses. Our love for goodies in our bellies is making its way into all aspects of our life. So let's make a calorie free pizza shall we?!?

Here are the supplies I used. You can use markers, watercolor pencils or even sharpies if you like.Remember you are the master of this pizza.

  • Lawn Fawn Lawn Cut Pizza My Heart
  • Lawn Fawn Pizza My Heart
  • Versa Fine Inkpad - Onyx Black
  • Prima Watercolor confections Decadent Pies
  • Canson XL Watercolor Paper Pad - 9 x 12
  • Gold Taklon Value Pack Brush Set 10 pkg

Start with stamping your image with Versafine onyx black ink. This is one of my favorite inks to use when watercoloring. Now that your image is stamped you are ready to color. I used the Prima watercolor confections for my medium however you can use any watercolor medium you like.

To create the color you need mix a palette on a piece of laminated white card stock. Using a palette to mix colors allows you to create the perfect shade for your pizza. If you have a color that you already like, just go with it. Watercoloring should be fun not stressful.

Once the pizza is colored, mixed some red and white paint together so you can stamp the hearts. Use a fine paint brush to move the paint around into the heart shape. You don't have to shoot for perfection. Just like pizza toppings, they all don't look the same.

Diecutting out the images will allow for added dimension to your card. You can stamp everything onto a card panel and watercolor directly on it if you like. Remember there are no mistakes in stamping, just happy endings. Now you can place the images on the card front and stamp a sentiment.

Now that the front of the card is complete, stamp a slice of pizza and the sentiment in the inside of the card. This is totally option. Writing a hand written note is always a great idea.

Tada!! An awesome pizza for a friend, kiddo or hubby! This stamp set is so versatile. You can use it for Valentine's Day, anniversary or just an everyday card. Now it's time to grab yourself a real slice of pizza and make your tummy happy!
