When it comes to card making, layers are where it's at. Now, I'm not talking about layered papers and embellishments, I'm talking about layered stamped images. Have you seen projects with multiple layers of color on one stamped image? It's so pretty, but the technique can be intimidating. However, getting this look is actually easier than you may think. Let me show you how with this Christmas tree card!
Altenew has created stamps that are perfectly designed to create gorgeous layers. Each image is designed to allow the prior layer to peak out, creating amazing dimension. First, you stamp the image that is the fullest with the lightest color you are using. Next, you add the stamp that is going to provide your image with additional color (this is done with a medium shade of the same colored ink). Finally, you add the detail stamp using either black ink or the darkest shade of color you used for your prior two shade. That's all folks!
See, I told you it was really simple. You can see how I used the Altenew Sketched Evergreen Stamp set below to create my festive Christmas tree card.
