This easy Christmas tree kid's craft is the perfect DIY to share with your children this holiday season.

Get the kids excited for the holiday season with this easy Jeweled Christmas Trees Kid Craft. Kids will love making and decorating their own tree, while moms {and dads} will enjoy the beautiful end result. {Displayed proudly in their home – of course!}

Inspired by some canvas triangles I recently purchased from the Blitsy store, all these Christmas trees need is a pinch of crafty creativity and super simple supplies that make this DIY activity easy to make in minutes!

Wondering where to begin? Find the step-by-step tutorial for this craft below, as well as links to the supplies in the Blitsy shop. Happy crafting my friends!

Here's is what you'll need:

  • Canvas Triangles
  • Green Paint Dabber
  • School Glue
  • Brown Cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Rhinestones
  • Stapler

Let's get crafty!

First you will want to make the "tree trunk" of the Christmas trees. This is done by cutting a small rectangle from the brown cardstock and stapling it to the bottom of each canvas triangle.

Now you are ready for paint! Using the green paint dabber, have your child paint one side of the canvas triangle completely green. Repeat for each tree.

The finishing touch of the Jeweled Christmas Trees, is to decorate them! Using the school glue and rhinestones, have your child decorate the front of their tree however they like. There are no real rules to this step - just have fun for it!

Once they are done decorating, set aside the finished pieces to let them dry completely before displaying proudly!
