How to Use Mutiple Photos in a Scrapbook Layout
Learn how to create a DIY scrapbook layout using multiple photos.
Today's layout is a 12x12 traditional scrapbook page using three 4x6 photos. I don't use them often, but when I was going through my newest photo order, I knew these three had to become their own page. I didn't want to overwhelm the page with a whole lot of embellishing and too much color, so I kept it fairly simple by using the Happy Place kit from Fancy Pants. I love that soft mint color and the black and white mixed in. I chose a couple other accent colors to add some punch!
Here's what you'll need:
Fancy Pants Happy Place Collection kit
Fancy Pants Happy Place buttons
Fancy Pants Happy Place labels
Fancy Pants Happy Place 3x4 cards
Fancy Pants Happy Place decorative tags
Tombow Foam Tabs
Tombow MONO permanent adhesive
Fiskars paper trimmer
Fiskars Amplify scissors
To begin, place your 4x6 photos on the right side of the layout and trim some patterned paper down to 6"x11". Place it on the left side of the layout. Just with those two pieces, the layout is 1/2 done!
Next, choose a second patterned paper to layer over the seam where the photos and patterned paper meet. You can see below that I added some pops of red by cutting tags in half and tucking them under the edge of the mint patterned paper.
Use both the buttons and stickers to add some simple and colorful embellishing. along that strip of paper. It's an easy addition that adds both color and texture.
For my 3x4 card, I found the matching cardstock punch out and I placed it over the image on the card (same image) using some foam tabs.
Finish the page off with some machine stitching around the left side of the page and a strip of handwritten journaling. Take a look at the full layout again below:
How fun and easy right? I really adore this layout and how it came together. I'm hoping to do a few more detailed layouts for some upcoming posts so stay tuned and Happy crafting!
