It's time to decorate your ears with some seeds!

You all know by now that I am a huge statement necklace fan (I pretty much love all statement jewelry pieces!). Sometimes a statement necklace is not not the right avenue to go when you are trying jazz up your outfit. So, instead of a necklace, why not add a statement earring?!

If you feel like your outfit choice for the day is a bit boring, all you need to do is add these statement seed bead earrings and get noticed! Seed beads come in so many eye-catching colors, shapes, and sizes. You can mix and match them to get your perfect color scheme. Go ahead, plant your seed and get crafting!

Have you ever worked with seed beads before? If so, what did you make?

Here's what you'll need:

  • Seed Beads
  • Tiger Tail Wire
  • 2 Ear Wires
  • 4 Looped End Cap Crimp Beads
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Jewelry Pliers

Let's get crafty!

Step 1: Cut 6 wires that are 5 inches long. Holding the end of one of your wires, begin stringing your beads. Stop when you are a half inch from the end. Repeat this step with your other 5 wires.

Step 2: Take 3 of your wires and place them inside your crimp bead.

Step 3: Use your pliers to pinch in the sides of your crimp bead, locking your wires in place.

Step 4: Hold your crimp bead at an angle so all of your beads are at one end. You want to slowly remove 6 beads from your center wire so it is a little shorter than your bottom wire. Then, remove 6 beads from your top wire. This will give your earrings a graduated look.

Step 5: Place your 3 wires inside your other crimp bead. Use your pliers to pinch in the sides of your crimp bead, locking your wires in place.Step 6: Using your pliers, open the loop at the bottom of your ear wires. Next, slip the loops of your crimp beads onto your open ear wire. Then, close the loop of your ear wire. Repeat Steps 2 - 6 to complete your other earring.
