How To Make Paper Art
Doesn't this tropical paper art look like it took hours to make? Well not only was it a quick project, but these intricate dies from Spellbinders did most of the work for me. This pack of cutting dies contains six different sizes of leaves making it easy to cut out multiples at a time. I also cut out a few tropical flowers using these dies as well. To create this piece inside a 6" x 6" frame, I cut two sets of the six leaves in each of three different colors. I then began positioning and adhering the leaves onto a scrap piece of 6" x 6" paper I had. I layered and adhered all of the leaves using foam squares to create extra dimension and added the blooms last. The text component is optional, but to create it all I did was print out a quote to fit the size of the composition and placed it behind the glass. Then using a chalk marker like this one, I traced the type, let it dry and my work was complete. All that was left to do was insert it in the frame and display!
See? It's so simple to create an impressive work of paper art. Check out all of the Spellbinders Dies and create your own!
