Today is my last project for Shark Week. I have to admit, I am a little sad the week of all things sharks is coming to an end. I've had a ton of fun creating shark themed projects. For my final project, I decided to create a shark keychain, which means Shark Week can live on FOREVER! Oh, and I decided to dabble in the world of power tools...
I have always wanted to use a drill in a crafty project, but have been a little freaked out by power tools. I know I shouldn't be afraid of them, but for some reason I find them to be super intimidating! I am inspired by all of those gals out there that use power tools to create amazing home decor projects and more. Instead of continuing to be afraid of tools, I decided it was time to get over my fear and start with a basic project.
I figured a DIY keychain would be the best place to start with my drill adventures. I grabbed an oval piece of wood and began drilling. My drill went into my wood and out the other end. I had actually drilled something!!! Woohoo! Pardon my excitement here, this was a huge moment for me. Remember when I told you I was afraid of power tools? Well, not anymore! I still plan on easing into the rest of the tools in the power tool family, but for now I am a pro...at the drill. :)
