Using 80 pound card stock, I cut out three balloon dies. I cut out 2-3 balloons in each size. These balloons will serve as the focal point of my card.

Using my Sizzix thinlits, I die cut a pattern into two of the balloons. I cut out an additional sweater patterns using plain card stock and set aside.

I carefully separated the new patterns nested within each of the balloons and used my alcohol inks to color the patterns in three different colors. I used the duplicate die cut in each balloon size to adhere and piece the balloons, along with each pattern (colored with alcohol inks) back together. This step takes time, but is totally worth the effect you will get with the nested design. I adhered a few of the extra "zig-zag" patterns directly onto a duplicate balloon.

I cut a card base sized to 4.25 by 5.5 inches. I created a soft yellow surface on my card base using my mini ink blenders from Ranger and Hero Arts cube shadow inks in Butter Bar. I adhered each balloon to the card base and added "strings" to each balloon using a black pen. I added a sentiment using a wood stamp.

Let's take a look at the card again! This technique is a great way to make use of holiday dies in an entirely different manner! Thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting!
