How to Create a Sporty Scrapbook Layout
Making your kid's favorite sport into a fun themed scrapbook layout is easy with a mini kit. See how this basketball page came together!
What you'll need:
Cardstock- American Crafts 12x12 Summer Pack
Chipboard letter sticker
Memento black ink
Tombow Foam Tape
Tombow Stamp Runner adhesive
Fiskars paper trimmer
Fiskars Amplify scissors
Gather your supplies. This includes adhesives, letter stickers, ink, tools, patterned paper and cardstock. Cut piece down to the sizes you think you want.
Punch basketballs from patterned paper. Then ink the edges in black. These will get foam tape on the back.
Start putting your page together. First, layer the basketball pattern along the bottom and then the basketball texture along the left. The third piece of patterned paper is the word piece. Most of this will be covered by photos, so cut just what you need and place centered at the top. Lastly, add your white photo matte. My photos are all 4x6 so my matte is 6-1/2x12".
Adhere your three photos across the white cardstock.
Now it's time to create some embellishments! I simply place my stickers onto some white cardstock to create a semi custom embellishment. I banner cut the gives a sporty feel. Adhere those to your page at the bottom and top.
Next, you can adhere your basketballs around the page. Overlap your photos a bit here and there to make the page flow and seem more cohesive. Finish the page off with some enamel stars or dots and some machine stitching.
With two boys, I wanted a layout for each of them. So, I did a second, almost identical page at the same time, since I had all the supplies out. The only difference between the two are a few photos and the stickers I chose. Most of the time, if I want to use the same photos of the two of them, I get a good quality copy made for the second album.
I hope you enjoyed today's layout. It was a fun one! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit the Blitsy Inspiration Boards for more layouts!
