High Impact Card With Little Effort

Posted by Meghan Quinones

There is nothing worse than feeling like there is something important you've forgotten. It's even worse when you realize that "thing" is your beloved friend's birthday! The guilt begins to set in and you panic trying to figure out what in the world you are going to do. First, you need to take a deep breathe and realize it will be okay. How will this be okay, you ask? You are going to create a card in less than 10 minutes (7 if you move quickly!) with help from the Crafter's Companion Create-a-card!

The Crafter's Companion Creat-a-card Die'sires dies allow you to add a crisp, intricate design to all your projects! These dainty but strong dies are capable with most major die cutting machines, and can cut a variety of materials ranging from paper and vellum to thin foam! What I love most about these are dies are all of the detailed cuts you get. Oh, they are also the perfect size for your A2 cards! To add even more pizzaz to your card, grab the Crafter's Companion Shimming Paper and place it behind your die cut for just a touch of shimmer.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Crafter's Companion Die'sire Create-a-card - Happy Birthday
  • Solid Cardstock
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Poking Tool
  • Black Marker

Let's get crafty!

Lay your die over the front of your card and run it through your die cutting machine.

Use your poking tool to remove any excess paper.

Turn your card over and add glue to it.

Glue your cardstock to the back of your card.

Trim off the excess paper around your card. That's it! Just add your sentiment inside and you are good to go!

At the last minute I decided to grab a marker and fill in the letters on my card. This really made them pop! That's it! Just add your sentiment inside and you are good to go!
