Card using funny stamps and color mediums

Hello there Blitsy fans! It's Laurel Beard here to share with you a funny card I pulled together using two awesome and hilarious stamps and some color mediums.... I used some stamps by Art Impressions and Riley & Company, watercolored pencils and Liquid Pearls by Ranger. Let's get started, shall we?

Gather your stamps. I'm using Art Impressions' Girlfriend and a stamp from Riley & Company's Funny Bone series... I'm also using some Tim Holtz watercolored paper.

To mount the rubber stamps onto an acrylic block, simply peel away the white backing sheet and then it will stick onto your acrylic block!

I am stamping the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then heat setting it with a clear embossing powder as I like to have a good, defined black outline image when I am watercoloring.

Now it's time to add some color to the image. You can use any kind of coloring medium you want whether it be watercoloring, alcohol markers, crayons! WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT! I am using Inktense Watercolor Pencils.

To add a little bit of extra dimension, I decided to use some Liquid Pearls by Ranger. I squirted out a dab onto my work surface, added a bit of water and painted the Liquid Pearls onto one of the shirts.

I also decided to add some Liquid Pearls directly to the hat without diluting with water. I squirted it out of the bottle and smoothed it out with the bottle tip...

I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card base and the front of the card panel. Since the stamp had the sentiment mounted together, I just took a piece of painter's tape and covered up the portion I did not want to ink up.

Once everything was dry, I adhered the card panel to the card base and voila, all done! It is so much fun to bring a stamp to life by adding color and dimension with these fun products!
