DIY | Valentino Inspired Flats

Posted by Meghan Quinones

The edgy pyramid studded flats by Valentino are super HOT right now. It seems like every celebrity owns a pair. The only problem is, the sticker price of these shoes is absolutely insane! Like over $800 insane! I am going to show you how to get the look for much less without breaking the bank!

Now, I wanted these shoes, but I knew in reality that was never going to happen (not with that high price tag!). So, I figured out a way to make my own version of the shoes. All I did was glue Plaid Nailheads to my flats. My version is WAY, WAY cheaper! I think my Valentino Inspired Flats came in under $25! Such a HUGE savings!

Would you wear these edgy flats?

Let's get crafty!

- Black Pointy-Toed Patent Flats

- Plaid Iron-on Nailheads

- Super Glue

- Ruler

- String (I decided I didn't need this)

- Marker

Let's Get Crafty!

Step 1: Put glue on the back of one nailhead and glue it to the front center of your shoe about 1/8 inch down.

Step 2: Put glue on the back of another nailhead and glue it to the back center of your shoe about 1/8 inch down.

Step 3: Place a dot 1/4 inch from the side of your front nailhead. Make marks until you get to the back of your shoe. Then, add marks to the other side of your shoe.

Step 4: Begin gluing your nailheads to your shoe 1/4 inch away from each another. Repeat Steps 1-3 to your other shoe.
