DIY Valentines Mason Jar
A fun and simple DIY Valentines Day Mason Jar
Hi there! Laurel Beard here today bringing you a super fun and easy Valentines Day project! All you'll need is a Mason Jar, Americana Decor Chalk Paint, Acrylic Paint, a wide flat paint brush and some burlap! Let's get to it, shall we?????
Grab your mason jar, some Americana Decor chalk paint (I used the color Refreshing) and a wide flat paint brush and apply 2-3 coats of chalk paint to your mason jar and allow to dry. It's chalk paint so it doesn't take too long. I allowed 30 minutes to dry per coat.
Cut a strip of burlap to the width you would like and secure it to the mason jar. I found the best adhesive to use for this was Mod Podge, but any strong, matte adhesive will work.
Now it's time to add the red heart! I used some Dina Wakley acrylic paint in the color Ruby. I squirted some onto my Tim Holtz craft mat and picked it up with a round paint brush and painted on a heart.
Allow to dry and fill with some cute paper straws! (or flowers, or whatever floats your boat - I'm a straw person myself)........
So there you have it! A super fun and easy DIY Valentines Day project! You can even whip some of these up with your kids and give them as teachers gifts! There are lots of possibilities with designs!! I hope you'll give it a try!
