Have you noticed that Valentine's Day is pushing Christmas out of the way early this year? I know I have!
I have decided to officially switch my gears from FaLaLaLaLaLa to XOXOXO. I have embraced the season of love. To kick-off the love, I went ahead and made chalkboard heart tags. These would be perfect for all of those Valentine's Day treat bags you will be making for the 14th. To create my chalkboard hearts, I used paper, chalkboard paint, and a heart die. After you create your chalkboard hearts, add whatever message you want!
Here's what you'll need:
Let's get crafty!
Paint a layer of chalkboard paint over your cardstock. Let your paint dry for at least an hour.
One your paint is dry, put another coat of chalkboard paint on your paper. Let the paint dry for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, take your chalk and rub it over your painted surface.
Go over your chalk with your eraser. It now looks like a real chalkboard!
Run your cardstock though your Big Shot with your heart die.
Add words to your chalkboard hearts with your chalk marker.
Place a foam square behind each of your hearts and arrnage them on your tags.
Finally, add ribbon and washi tape to your tags and you are good to go!
