DIY Sparkle Bow Headband
I used Phoomph a while back to transform a lamp, so I decided to use it this time to create a fashion accessory. I bought some sequin fabric that was quite thin and flimsy and used my Phoomph to turn it into a statement bow headband. Now, I know New Year's Eve was a few days ago, but who said it has to be NYE to wear sparkle?!
The Phoomph gave my fabric some serious dimension. That's why I really love this stuff, it's so versatile!
Here's what you'll need:
- 1/8 Yard of Sequin Fabric
Let's get crafty!
Step 1: Cut your Phoomph in half and peel off one layer. Lay your fabric over your Phoomph and cut.
Step 2: Cut one strip that is 8 inches long and 5/8 inch wide. Cut another strip 7 inches long and 5/8 inch wide.
Step 3: Peel back the fabric from the end of your strip, exposing 1 inch of your Phoomph. Cut the excess fabric. Flip your strip over and peel back the fabric from the end of your strip, exposing 1 inch of your Phoomph. Cut the excess fabric. Fold your strip over into a loop and press your exposed Phoopmh together, securing your strip. Repeat this step on your other strip.
Step 4: Cut another strip of fabric 3 1/2 inches long and a 1/2 inch wide. Peel back the fabric from the top and bottom of one end of your strip, exposing 1 inch of your Phoomph. Cut the excess fabric. Peel back the fabric from one side of the other end of your strip, exposing 1 inch of your Phoomph. Cut the excess fabric. Place your lager loop against the side of your headband followed by your smaller loop. Then, take your strip with both Phoomph sides exposed and stick it to the bottom of your headband (make sure the other side with the exposed Phoomph is facing up).
