DIY Simple Stories Gift Boxes

If you ask me, the We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board and the Simple Stories DIY Christmas Collection pair perfectly together!

All of the papers and elements in the Simple Stories DIY Christmas Collection are SO incredibly cute. They are perfect for so many aspects of the holidays like scrapbooking, card making, decorating, and gift packaging! I turned my favorite papers into adorable gift boxes using my We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board. After I made my boxes, I wrapped the Simple Stories envelope wrappers around them. I thought these were the perfect addition to my boxes! You could also add the other Simple Stories elements to your boxes for even more appeal!




Here's what you'll need:

  • We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board
  • Simple Stories DIY Papers
  • Simple Stories Envelope Liners
  • Glue
  • Any extra embellishments

Open the arm of your punch board. Line the corner of you 12x12 paper with the XL marking on your board. Press down on the red button and use your scoring tool to create lines from inside the two notches.

Turn your paper counter clockwise and repeat on the next corner of your paper. Repeat this step with your 2 remaining corners so all of your corners have been notched out and scored.

Continue notching and scoring all of your corners.

Flip your paper over and add notches to the other sides of your corners.

Place each corner in the outside punch and press down. Repeat this with all of your corners. This will create notches that will keep your box closed.

Fold your paper over at the longer score line you created. Use your scoring tool to smooth it down.

Fold your smaller score line over. Use your scoring tool to smooth it down. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to all of your score lines.

Pinch in the sides of one corner of your box.

You want to create a triangle. Smooth down the sides.

Add glue to the inside of the triangle you created.

Repeat Step 9 with all of your sides. This will form your box.

Fold two flaps down and connect them. Then, fold the other two over.

Add your Simple Stories Envelope Liners and Embellishemnts and your are finished!
