Create a rustic Christmas Card using inks, stamps and dies from Hero Arts. This is is my first attempt at a rustic Christmas Card using warm colors from Hero Arts Color Cubes from the Just Beachy and Christmas collections. I added a little holiday spruce, cutting a wreath (from Avery Elle) in two, distressing and accenting with berries and acorns. Although this cards features traditional colors, the design would also work with a modern palette by adding a touch of teal, or a romantic palette of soft shades of green, pink and cream.

I used Ranger's mink ink blending tool on Neenah card stock, creating a "dry blend" of three different colors -- tide pool, soft olive and field greens. While this method usually words well for me, the Ranger product line features Distress Speciality Stamping Paper providing a super smooth blending surface that's forgiving for those experimenting with blending for the first time! The paper is already cut to 4.25 by 5.5 inches making card making super easy! Pick up a pack and get your holiday cards done in no time flat! I also loved that I was able to use my wreath die to create holiday spruce. Try combining two or more die cut wreaths to give your holiday sprucing a super natural and woodsy look.
