DIY Glitter Drop Earrings

Posted by Meghan Quinones

When people think of Stick-It they typically think of paper crafting. Well, I decided to try it with jewelry making. That's right, jewelry making!

I am a huge fan of Craft Fantastic jewelry, findings, and tools. You can add paper (and glitter!) to their jewelry pendants to create one-of-a-kind jewelry. I knew I couldn't just add glitter to my pendant. So, this is where I enlisted the help of Stick-It. Did you now you can add glitter to Stick-It and it, well, sticks?? This is such an amazing technique that Ken Oliver himself showed me. I was truly blown away when I saw the gorgeous result of adding glitter to Stick-It. Okay, let's stop talking about how amazing glitter and Stick-It are together and let's make!

Here's what you'll need:

Let's get crafty!

Cut a piece of Stick-It that will fit both of your glass domes. Remove the back of your Stick-It and place it on your cardstock. Remove the top layer of Stick-It. Pour a generous amount of glitter over your Stick-It. Use your finger to rub the glitter into your Stick-It. Add Glaze and Glue to the back of your glass dome.

Place both of your domes on top of your glitter. Let the glue dry. Once the glue has dried, use your scissors to trim around your glass domes. Place a Jeweler's Dot on the back of your glass domes and trim any excess. Stick your dome inside of your jewelry tray and press down.

Open your hoops and slide your pendant on. That's it! You now have a pair of glitter drop earrings. Enjoy!
