Hello, friends! I can't believe winter is just around the corner, and I must say I love nothing more than cozy home decor. Wool and felt are some of my most favorite materials to work with, and I love how they look so good in winter crafts. I was especially excited when I discovered that Blitsy sells this pre-made felt banner! Isn't it so cozy and lovely?? It was so easy to embellish, I just had to share!

Here's what you need to make this fun felt banner:

  • Dimensions Feltworks Value Pack Ball Assortment
  • Dimensions Feltworks Embellishments Mini-Pennant Banner
  • Glue gun
  • Glue Sticks
  • Cardstock in yellow, off-white, green, and red

To get started, first use your colored cardstock to make Christmas tree's and stars. I used my electronic die cut machine, but you can easily cut paper trees with scissors. If you are nervous cutting tree's by hand, cut triangles! Three paper triangles make the perfect stacked Christmas tree.

After cutting your trees, adhere the trees and paper stars to your banner using a hot glue gun and glue sticks. Next, adhere felt balls on desired pennants. I chose to mix and match my colors, but you can keep them the same if you want to!

That's it! Now your banner is ready to hang! I really wanted a vintage feel for my banner, so mixing the muted Christmas inspired colors really helped, but you can go as bright or netreal as you want!

I hung my banner on a shelf in my sons room, and he loves that his room already looks festive for the holidays! He is the type of person that doesn't want to take Christmas decor down until the end of January. Yikes! Maybe we won't keep it up that long. ;)

I hope your winter is full of lots of crafting, and a few cozy holiday projects too!
