Hello, friends! Can you believe summer is here! Oh, it just makes my heart so happy. I was looking back at parties I thew last summer, and I didn't realize how many times I made paper pinwheels. Gah! I guess they just scream summer party, don't they? I have used them to decorate many times, but I have never thought to give them out as a party favor. These pretty pinwheels paired with candy make the perfect party favor too!

Here's what you need to make them:

  • Maggie Holmes Bloom 12x12 Paper Pad
  • Maggie Holmes Shine Standouts Embellishments
  • Adhesive
  • Scissors, or We R Memory Keepers Pinwheel Punchboard
  • Skewer Sticks or Candy Container

To get started, first choose which patterned paper you want to use from the Maggie Holmes Bloom paper pad. I recommend using patterned paper that has a pattern on both sides so that your pinwheel has a pop of color whichever way you make it.

After choosing your paper, hand cut an 9"x9" pinwheel out of each sheet. I used my We R Memory Keepers Pinwheel Punchboard to make mine, but an electronic die cut machine will also do the trick! After cutting your pinwheels, adhere the sides together in the center using your tape runner.

I found these fabulous little candy tubes, but you can always use a paper straw, or just adhere a paper pinwheel to a goodie bag!

Last step! Adhere everything together, and top your pinwheel with a sticker medallion from the Maggie Homes Shine collection. So pretty!

That's it! I love it when super easy ideas come together. Now hopefully I won't get carried away again this summer, and decorate everything with pinwheels. ;)
