When it comes to cardmaking, I am all about simplicity. When I created my "hello" die cut card, I wanted it to be generic so it would work for different occasions. I ended up grabbing the Queen & Co. Heart Throb Shaker Card Kit since I loved the look of the script "hello" die. I first used this kit for Galentine's Day/Valentine's Day cards and decor and it worked out great. Since there is a "thanks" die and a "hello" die in the kit, it makes it so easy to create projects that are not Valentine's Day themed!
To create this die cut card, first place the "hello" die in the center of a cardbase and put washi tape on the sides to secure it. Then, run it through a die cutting machine. Place the die above the center die cut, secure it with washi tape, and run it through a die cutting machine again. Follow the same steps for the third die cut "hello" that will be placed toward the bottom of the card. Make sure to save all of the negative die cuts - some of these pieces will be used in a later step. Next, cut a piece of yellow cardstock that is the same size as the cardbase front. Then, add glue to the edges of the cardstock and glue it behind the cardbase front. This colored paper makes the words really pop! It's time to grab those die cut pieces. Glue the centers on all of the "e's" and "o's". Finally, finish the die cut card by adding some patterned washi tape to the bottom of the cardbase. That's it!
