Welcome back to 3 Things to Make This Week, a series where we share some of our previous projects to help inspire you to get creative this week. Today's edition definitely has a theme: kids! We're nearing Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer, and that means that soon school will be out and the kids are going to need something to do. These three crafts are guaranteed to keep them entertained, and you may already have many of the materials lying around your craft stash! Here are three DIYs to help maximize summer fun.

Who doesn't want to be a mermaid? This DIY necklace will definitely get you one step closer to feeling like you live life under the sea. Sharpie paint pens and a little yarn make this DIY doll totally customizable! You can find all the supplies for this project here.
This bold paper bead necklace is definitely going to become a go-to dress up accessory! Pick your favorite bold papers from your craft room--the ones with some texture are always the best--cut, and roll! String them onto twine and you have a fun new set of "jewels." Get all the supplies for this project here.
This last DIY is a sweet & simple dragonfly! Add ribbon to a clothespin (you might have some leftover from the mermaid necklace) to create wings, and top it off with some googly eyes. You can add a magnet to make it functional for keeping track of lists, notes, and even their own artwork!
